Bicycles for Humanity bike drive June 19 - 20

Give your old adult-sized mountain/hybrid bike a new life ... in Malawi, Africa!

Donate your bike to help improve access to healthcare, education, food,water and employment.

This year a 40ft shipping container packed with 400 bikes, spare parts & tools will benefit an orphanage and healthcare workers in Zomba, Malawi.  During our last collection on May 22nd, we received over 160 bikes, and we need more to fill the container!

What to bring:

  • Adult sized Mountain & hybrid bikes in working condition (wide tires, 24” and 26” wheels)
  • Gently used backpacks, Canadian Tire Money
  • Cash Donations to help with the transport costs of the bikes are appreciated

When & Where:

Saturday June 19th, 2010 - 9am to 12 noon:

  • Centretown:  Richard Pfaff Alternate School (McNabb Community Ctr) - 160 Percy Street
  • Nepean: St. Paul Catholic High School - 2675 Draper Avenue
  • Kanata: W.O. Mitchell Elementary School - 80 Steeple Chase Drive

 Sunday June 20th, 2010 - 9am to 2pm:

  • LeBreton Flats:  MEC Bikefest, Next to the Canadian War Museum, entrance by 1 Vimy Place

  • Bike tools, repair & patch kits, inner tubes, gently used backpacks, Canadian Tire Money
  • Cash Donations to help with the transport costs of the bikes are appreciated
